Confessions of a Plant Killer & 5 Minute DIY Planter

 My mom and my grandma have both been professional florists, but I... am a plant killer.
There's been a few springs that I've eagerly gone out and bought pansies and petunias and planted them in cute little pots on my porch, only to underwater them and see them whither.
Later on, I turned to succulents, hoping my history of neglect would help them survive. Alas, I loved them too much and drowned them.
In one particularly sad instance, I thought I finally had succeeded at keeping a plant alive.

Mixing Patterns & Eastern Oregon Bucket List

We are officially moving!
 While we have certainly been blessed by the experiences we've had and people we've met in Hermiston, Daniel and I have always intended to return to our roots in the Willamette Valley. He has been working so hard to find a job, and officially landed one in Woodburn! We are feeling so joyful to be closer to family, friends, and alll the trees. 
As we wrap up our time on the eastern side of the state, we realized there's a few things we haven't done out here that we wanted to be sure to. We've jokingly called it our "Eastern Oregon Bucket List". There's not an actual document, it's more of a mental list.

While We Wait...

The Lord is good to hose who wait for him,
to the soul who seeks him.
It is good that one should wait quietly
for the salvation of the Lord. 
Lamentations 3:25-26
When I reflect on the last couple of months, one theme I see is this: waiting. Waiting for a call. Waiting for an opportunity. Waiting for healing. Waiting for an answer. Waiting for the right timing. Waiting for God to provide. 

Waiting is HARD. It not only calls upon us to have patience, but also tremendous trust. 

In this time of waiting, the Lord is teaching my heart some valuable lessons. He's told me that while I wait...
