I'll be honest: my go-to this summer is comfy shorts, a tank top, sandals, no make-up, and hair in a braid. We get in the pool at our apartment almost every day, so it's all about low-maintenance style and trying to protect my hair from all the chlorine by cutting down on using heat on it. Occasionally, though, there is an excuse to dress up a little bit, and there are a lot of fun styles to rock during the summer.
I love classy sleeveless looks like this tie-neck sky blue top. They are effortlessly stylish, show off toned arms (thanks, Jazzercise!) and can really make an outfit.
This Liz Claiborne top I picked up last Spring has an all-over link pattern which is a little bit nautical and a little bit 70's retro. It goes great with a pair of crop trousers and summery wedges. I accessorized it with a big bangle, pearl earrings, and loose curls.

I wore this outfit to work in June, but it also would be a great look for a date or just going out. This was my first time really mastering the half-tuck, and I felt like the drape of the shirt in contrast with the fitted pants compliments my curves and balances me out.
Ok what's your summer go-to? Sometimes mine starts to feel a little drab, but now I feel extra good when I actually do style my hair :) Thanks for stopping by!

ReplyDeleteAw thank you Mattie! My hair is super thick so it takes forever to style, but I'm always glad when I do!
