Living in Linen

Whew, it is good to have a minute to sit down and post these photos I've been sitting on for a month! It has been such a busy and very blessed few weeks. In mid-April Daniel and I found out our offer was accepted on a house, we closed last week, and we spent this weekend getting started on some updates (there is still paint primer on my arm). It's been a long time since I've had that totally exhausted, worked so hard, but feel so good feeling at the end of the day, but I have a feeling it will become a standard until we move in! I feel so blessed that our home owning dream has come true and we are loving making it our own. I'm sure I will have many a blog post about it coming soon.

I have always been into drawstring waist bands, mostly for the comfort, but there's just something casual chic about a shirt tucked in so the tie shows. I got these linen pants at H&M earlier this spring, and they're my new favorite pants. Sometimes I lovingly call them my pajama jeans because they are so comfortable.
They can be dressed up with a sleek blouse, statement necklace, and leopard shoes.
Or dressed down and a little beachy with a light sweater and slip on shoes.

I love bold necklaces with high waist pants, I think they help balance out the look.
I first fell in love with linen pants last summer, here's my original post 3 ways to rock linen pants this summer. I am delighted with the not-just-skinny-jeans styles this spring and recently posted say hi to high waisted pants. Check out easy summer style for another tucked-in warm weather look.

As weird as it sounds, these pants are similar to the vision I want for my house- comfortable, unique, chic, and versatile. I can't wait to see it come together!

  13. High-waisted pants never look good on me but boy do I love a good linen pant! My tried and true linen pants are coming to the end of their life so I will definitely check out H&M. I haven't seen linens there before but now I'm going to look!
