On Spring Break, I was shopping with a friend at the Limited at an amazing Seattle mall.
Suddenly, a pattern from the sale rack jumped out and caught my eye. It was cheerful, springy, and a little bit wild with bright fuchsia dots over a neutral background. Better yet, on a beautiful silky fabric.
I tried on both a skirt and a dress with this pattern- the skirt was the winner.
There's a weird sun streak through all of these pictures, let's say it adds to the springiness!
This length is new to me, but I love it! It has a lovely drape and is very twirlable (that's important, right!).
Here's that picture that many of us bloggers probably have, "Ok, you can stop taking pictures, husband". Have you seen the instagram husband video? I feel bad about how much this probably relates to us...
I also dreamed up a few other outfits for this skirt.
This skirt first struck me as a little bit Jessica Day from New Girl. Here's an outfit channeling that perky, whimsical style.
A skirt like this can be even bolder when paired with a solid top in a cheerful color.
