I've had the chance to get to know Seattle over the past year. I think we've made four trips in the last year to visit friends in the Emerald City. We just made a trip at the beginning of May and the weather was BEAUTIFUL. Absolutely the nicest I've seen in the area. The lovely, sunshine-filled weekend provided great opportunities to explore and snap some photos.
We spent an afternoon at the Ballard Farmer's market. I love the sights, smells, and sounds of an outdoor market. I picked up some amazing muesli that I've been enjoying for breakfast. We all had these veggie-packed quesadillas for lunch and I enjoyed some mint iced tea.
We went to the Museum of History and Industry, which was really cool! It highlights a lot of Seattle history, innovations, and had a showcase of the rap history of Seattle. My personal highlight would be the Seattle Fire exhibit... if you see it, you'll know why!
We also had some fun in the children's section seeing who could build the tallest tower. My husband (on the right) fell a little bit behind. He says he was dealt the crummiest blocks.
With friends outside MOHAI.
It was such a gorgeous day! Here's my friend Katie and I on a suspension bridge in the ravine area.
The guys doing what they do best.
Ok, now let's talk style. When wandering around and exploring new cities, I love to feel comfortable but also stylish. An easy going look with on trend details hits the spot.
I wore khaki joggers from Old Navy (so comfortable!) with a half-tucked olive-green blouse. Crochet Tom's shoes and a cross-body purse complete the look.
I just love the scalloped sleeve detail on this top. I found it at Gap, I so wish I picked up another color but now it's too late!
Seeing so much green is sure refreshing for these desert people!
If you enjoyed this city exploring post, I also wrote about our visit to Walla Walla this past Valentine's Day and Spokane over a year ago. Check out some more casual fashion looks here, here, and here.

What a fun tour. I love farm markets too. The last time I was there I was amazed at the number of dogs there. It was so awesome to see them and watch them make friends with other dogs, too.
