Menu Plan Monday: Flavorful and Fun

Wow it has been a beautiful, sunny week! I made a really fun menu for it, too.

I kept saying to Daniel, "Aren't we eating such fun dinners this week?!" and he would say "yeah..." (he appreciates my cooking, but he's kind of a 'food is food' guy). My husband might not have quite gotten my vibe of why this week's food was so fun, but I loved the mix of flavors and food we don't eat very often like pizza and hot dogs.

These recipes are all seriously delicious and flavorful, and make great leftovers.

We got a little creative on Saturday's meal. I had originally planned on a cooking a fun recipe I found for pepperoni pizza soup, but it turned out to be 80 degrees, so we weren't exactly in the soup mood. I had baked rolls ahead of time to go with the soup, so we tore them apart to make two layers, spread them out in a 9 x 13 pan, and put cheese, pepperoni, ground beef, and tomato sauce in between. It was actually really good! The rolls got really doughy and gooey, which we liked but if you're not into that I suggest using rolls on the firm side. This was all from the innovative mind of my husband, it turned out pretty good!

Do you know what I mean by fun food? What kind of food is fun to you?

Have a lovely week!
